A Disney Cruise, From a Teen’s Perspective
At THIS VERY MOMENT my family is happily cruising on the Disney Magic somewhere in the Bahamas.
Disney cruises are our most favorite way to vacation together. Why? Well, because there are a million things to do on board – youth clubs, swimming, art classes, wine tastings, movies, shows, the list goes on – all while floating in the middle of the ocean. It is truly a unique experience.
This time last year we were cruising on the Disney Fantasy and while I did capture some more “professional” moments with my camera, Christian, my teenage son (13 years at the time), took much more interesting and intimate photos with his iPhone.
I wanted to collect these images into a blog post for you to enjoy, too.
I love the awkward angles of some of these shots, as well as the “real life” moments he captured with his little brother and from parts of the ship that most wouldn’t think to photograph. His work has inspired me to shoot with this mindset on all of our vacations and in everyday life, because those true moments are the ones that we really remember, right?
