Beauty Box Clubs: Birchbox – February 2014 Review
For the past few months, I have heard quite a bit from my friends and colleagues about beauty sample clubs. If you are not familiar with such clubs, the concept is easy – for a small monthly fee (usually around $10), members receive a few (usually 4-5) monthly beauty samples in the mail to test out. The idea is to test out the samples, which are usually new products on the market, and if you like one, the full size is available to order on the beauty club website.
Being the beauty product junkie I am, I was intrigued with these beauty box clubs, but wasn’t sure which one to join. To help me decide, I collected feedback on my personal Facebook page, but soon realized that the community was pretty divided when it came to their favorite beauty box club. So, instead of deciding on just one club for myself, I selected three – Birchbox, GLOSSYBOX and ipsy. I plan on trying out all three and providing feedback on each club with a monthly Instagram pic of the contents within each order and a video review.
I received my first Birchbox shipment a couple weeks ago, which included:
- Beauty Protector (Protect & Oil hair oil)
- Harvey Prince (Hello fragrance spritz)
- OPI (Sheer Tints in Don’t Violet Me Down nail polish)
- Skin&Co Roma (Truffle Therapy Serum skin care)
- Harney & Sons Fine Teas
