Boho Summer Styles
Whether you find yourself lusting after bohemian inspired pieces or not, you’ve got to give the style one bonus point in this hot, hot heat — boho fashion tends to be on the easy, breezy side of things and that’s basically all I want to wear when the mercury climbs and the humidity turns my hair into a creature from the black lagoon.
Here are few boho styles I’m craving in this heat wave. Oh yes, it’s humid here in Southern Ontario too!
This printed dress is a staple you’ll be able to pair with just about anything all summer long. Then, with tights and boots come fall. I’m all about getting the most out of my wardrobe!
At a bit of boho charm to your wrists with some funky bracelets. I love layering jewelry like this, but the pieces have to be comfortable and these look just about right. Beautiful colours and patterns too.
A crochet top like this is on my list of summertime must-haves. Cute over a tank or a bikini top, you can dress it up or down and rock a little boho style from day to hight.
This super lightweight poncho needs to be the thing I wear over just about everything this summer. I love the simple with black stitching. You can style it with a belt as well, or use it like a bathing suit coverup. Super cute.
You’ve got to have a printed maxi and this lovely patterned number has a belted middle and a sexy slit. I’d wear it layered and with cute boots or flat sandals.
Kimonos are still super popular right now and this colour piece is going to be a perfect fit for your summer wardrobe. You don’t have to be festival-bound to appreciate some cool, kimono style — just pair it with something simple and let it speak for itself.
If your locks could use a little taming, go for the messy-on-purpose style that I tend to rock all summer long in the humidity, then slap on a headband and folks will think you meant it! Seriously though, this headband is a simple way to take your hair from blah to wow in about 10 seconds flat.
This layered tunic has a cute tassel detail and looks as though it’ll keep your cool on the muggiest of days this summer. I’d wear it with some denim capris — like my baggy boyfriend style jeans — and cute shoes. Keep it simple and be sure to twirl a little. The little girl in me just wants to see it spin!
Tunics are one of my favourite things to wear in the summer and I’m adoring this one right now. Pair it with jean shorts or tights, or pop it on over your swimsuit the next time you’re at the beach. Cute!
