Guest post by: from Making Food Eating Food, *photos ©chanelle richardson* So, that box of bright orange powdered-cheese-type-pasta-stuff works in a pinch…but it kinda freaks me out. I mean, is anything found in nature that is actually that colour? Anyway, I came up with a recipe for macaroni and cheese that is just as fast, even more delicious, and (to me) more gratifying. Quick Homemade Mac & Cheese makes enough to feed mom and two hungry smallish kiddos. adjust accordingly.

No-brainer Recipe: Cornbread Supreme

Cornbread Supreme. Oh Lordy. I think we’ve made this dish 4 or 5 times in the last few months. It is so good. Especially with Calico Beans. Mmm. I think I may have to make it again this week. Cornbread Supreme Makes one 9″ x 13″ pan 1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn,

Dinner Recipes: Pastrami Mac and Cheese

pastramimac

While the traditional mac and cheese is delicious just as it is, I was craving something different and reached for this recipe for Pastrami Mac and Cheese. A smooth cheese sauce of sharp cheddar, with spicy Pastrami and buttered bread crumbs are baked with farfalle (or your noodle of choice). The result is a wonderful combination of flavors that are ultra comforting and hearty enough to be the main dish of your dinner.

No-brainer Recipe: Beer Bread

I love baking, but I’m definitely not a ‘stand around kneading dough’ kind of girl. My technique in the kitchen is get in, get out, and enjoy the tasty treats. This recipe for Beer Bread fits that description perfectly. It is delicious, so much so that I’m often taken aback after trying a slice while it is still warm from the oven. It is a great addition to your dinner, or with a pat of butter as an afternoon snack. Beer Bread Makes 6-8 Servings
