Unique Christmas Tree Styles
I’m in a tiny bit of shock that it’s already December, but what that means is it’s just about time to pick out our Christmas tree to bring home!
For years I’ve been doing faux trees for the ease of it AND for the fact that I really like to put my tree up the first week of November, but I knew that once my daughter was older I really wanted to go back to having a real Christmas tree in our house. As a child we always went to pick out a real tree and I miss the wonderful smell and atmosphere it brings into the house. So, this year, with our super tall farmhouse ceilings, we’re opting for a real (big!) tree!
To get a little inspiration for your own holiday tree decorating, take a peek below at some ideas I’m loving!
So beautiful! You can always count on Making It Lovely to show off a gorgeous tree each holiday season! We have one tiny pink tree in our house that ends up in my daughter’s room — such a fun and somewhat unexpected colour this time of year.
This vintage style silver tree via A Beautiful Mess is just neat. Love the tiny decorations they’ve chosen!
Not so hot on a full out traditional tree? Take a page from Hege In France. Simple, sophisticated, and pretty!
Lastly, Smile And Wave always rocks out a beautiful white tree and her colour scheme is fantastic.!
I’m SO excited to get out into the snow to pick out our tree this year. My daughter has been very vocal about being the one to choose the tree, put it up, and decorate it — I think my holiday obsessions are rubbing off on her!
Do you do real or fake trees at home? When does your tree go up each year?
PS. Try making these gum drop ornaments!
