New Year’s Eve Party Ideas
Planning a New Year’s Eve party can be a daunting task! As the host, you know you want to help your guests ring in the New Year with a soiree they’ll remember forever!
From the food, the guest list, the drinks, and the decor — where do you start? If you’re on the hunt for ways to make your home a welcoming party place, scroll down for some stylish ideas I’m loving!
Grab a sparkler! I love this idea from Pizzazzerie — grab a small flower pot or other pretty container, fill it with stones, or in this case peas, then push your sparkles into it like a pretty bouquet. Add a few cute signs and your guests will be ready for the countdown — and for some great picture opportunities with their lit sparkles! (Just be careful if you’re inside, friends!)
You really can’t go wrong with glitter when it comes to New Year’s Eve, right? Try making your own sparkly bunting or visit Le Petite Fest for more fun party decor ideas!
Add a little something something to your favourite mixed drinks with these super simple DIY Foil Firecracker Stirrers! You can find out how to make them via Parties For Pennies.
I’m loving this fun and colour idea for decorating your stemware! Check out A Subtle Revelry for more bright and shiny New Year’s Eve party inspiration!
Lastly, if a dinner party is what you’ve got planned for your NYE shindig, try adding a little tinsel garland to as a table runner . It’s beautiful as well as low, so your guests will have no obstructions when the meal gets chatty and sociable — which you know it will! Ad in some candles and a centrepiece and you’re done! See more of this fantastic party decor at Life In Yellow.
I have never hosted my own NYE party, but I’ve attended a few that were lovely! This year I think we’ll be laying low with a few friends at home, greeting 2014 with a countdown and a kiss. Wishing you all the very best as 2013 comes to an end! It’s been a big year and I have a feeling 2014 is filled with promise and success. Peace!
