Creating A “Mangia” Moment At Home
I have always dreamed of visiting Italy. From the historic landmarks and ancient ruins to the wine and FOOD, this country really captures everything I love about travel.
Until I do set foot in Milan, Florence or Venice, I will have to make do with a little piece of Italy here in the states. With a bit of creativity, romanic decor and a lot of help from Bertolli, I can dine like an Italian in my own home! A “Mangia” moment, if you will. 🙂
Let me set the scene for you. A green table cloth, non-scented white candles, red wine….
hot bread in a wicker basket…
a delicious freshly-cooked Bertolli Italian Sausage & Rigatoni meal, just for two…
a little accordion music playing in the background…
and just me and my hubby. Perfection.
I love moments like these with my husband after the kids are in bed. It provides us the opportunity to talk, laugh and connect – and the best part is that we didn’t have to spend much to do it. Dates at home are greatly underrated!
