If you follow this blog you know that I love to entertain, so you might imagine that I especially love the holiday season. But like a lot of hosts and hostesses, I sometimes find that I’m spending too much time preparing to have fun and not enough time having fun. This holiday season, I’m determined to create some new traditions that give me time to relax with my family.
On both Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve morning I find that I waste a lot of time with people rummaging through my kitchen looking for something for breakfast. It sounds silly, but it actually really throws me off my game to have people trying to eat breakfast when I’m trying to get ready for company. So, this year I’m making this Crescent Bacon Breakfast Ring, using thick-cut NatureRaised Farms® Bacon from my local Sam’s Club.
Yield: 8 servings
My hope is that if I make something delicious for breakfast, I can set it out in the dining room and people can help themselves, allowing me to finish making dinner, and who knows, maybe even have a little time to watch the parade, too! As a child, I always loved watching the parade in my pajamas and I’d like to recapture a little bit of that lazy feeling again.
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that all the items are available at Sam’s Club. Sam’s Club is my go-to store during the holiday season because I can get everything I need for entertaining (in bigger sizes), and even some things on my present list, too!
I’ve really come to depend on NatureRaised Farms Bacon, available in the refrigerator section at Sam’s Club. NatureRaised Farms Bacon contains no antibiotics, and no added hormones or growth promotants.
I already mentioned that if I have extra time on Thanksgiving, I’m going to spend it watching the parade. What would you do with an extra 30 minutes during the holidays? Share your thoughts in the comments!
