Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker White Queso Dip Recipe

Here in Oklahoma, we love football. High school football, college football, NFL, games in the yard … it’s a way of life. It’s not just the game, it’s the way football brings people together to watch, and of course eat. Football parties really allow for both socializing and eating in a casual setting.

Now, if you have people over to watch sports at your house, you know that it’s better to get creative in the presentation of the food, then in the recipes themselves. For example, check out all the “stadium” snacks on Pinterest. The key to these snacks is that even though they look amazing and take a lot of creativity, they’re still the basic foods people are looking for. I’ve learned the hard way that football fans are not necessarily looking for quinoa stuffed grape leaves to replace hot dogs. At a football party the focus is on the sports and the fun, not trying new food!

That being said, you can’t just serve the same old, same old every time. For my next party I’m super excited to try this white queso dip. It’s hard to go wrong with a queso dip, but making mine white with white cheddar will be different enough to keep me interested.

One of the best parts of this recipe is that I’m making it in my brand new Crock-Pot® slow cooker. Since I’m partnering with Crock-Pot® brand this year (I know, I’m lucky), I recently received a shiny new model to try this dip with. A lot of people think of their Crock-Pot® brand as mainly for dinners, but it’s a great way to make desserts or snacks as well.

Especially, this model. On this model the lid that attaches to the unit and the digital timer. Once the timer is complete, the setting automatically goes to “warm” mode. Love, love, love this feature, especially for a party dip. With this new model I can serve dishes at home, or take them to someone else’s party. Plus, look how pretty it is! No need to transfer my dip to a bowl, I can serve it right in the Crock-Pot® slow cooker.
