Easy Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie Recipe
Is anyone else yearning for Summer? I can hardly wait for the sunshiney days, gardening and barbecues. This little smoothie recipe that I spotted at ben and birdy makes me think of Summer. It tastes surprisingly much like cheesecake thanks to cottage cheese which has been blended up until completely smooth.
I actually tested out a few recipes for this smoothie. This one uses cottage cheese to get that cheesecake flavor, the other recipe I tested used cream cheese. I am not even a cottage cheese fan and I greatly preferred it to the cream cheese. In the other recipe the cream cheese flavor was completely overwhelming, much too sour and tart. If you are wary of the curds in cottage cheese, have no fear, they get blended out. Many thanks to ben and birdy for this delicious recipe. Enjoy!
