Back To School Fashion and Style
It’s nearly time for the kiddos to head back to school — or in my case, to school for the very first time! This means I’ve been scouring the internet for unique and affordable styles for my (not so) little one! They really do grow up to fast! My daughter just went up TWO shoe sizes in the span of a month.
Today I’m sharing back to school styles from two of my favourite clothing lines for children: Tea Collection and Joe Fresh — both known for their fantastic picks for kids. Durable, trendy, and easy to pass down to a younger sibling or friend. Check out some pieces for boys and girls as the back-to-school seasons arrives.
Tea Collection, For Girls:
Adorable leather Mary Janes, available in a deep pink or blue. Pair them with a dress, or with jeans for a sophisticated look. A padded footbed makes these super comfortable.
A pair of khaki hightop boots with a rugged sole and leather uppers. Shown here with their “Tickle Your Toes” shoelaces for a funkier look.
I’m loving the gorgeous peony print on this high-low hem top. Perfect paired with jeans or tights.
The Woolrich army jacket is a great choice for girls and boys. A great zip up for the Fall season, lots of pockets, 100% cotton.
Tea Collection, For Boys:
Super comfortable, suede shoes in navy blue with lime green accents. Love these!
A fun layering piece, great under or over a button up, or even on it’s own. Also available in a dark blue, light grey, and white.
I really love kids in plaid button-ups!
A striped hoodie is a great piece to toss in a backpack for the day, or just on in the morning for those cooler Autumn bus stop waits! This one’s available in a few colours choices.
Joe Fresh, For Girls:
A simple white tea with a twist — a little added sparkle to the pocket! A great basic, without being boring!
A solid coloured cargo dress — fun to accessorize and can be worn with bare legs in warmer weather, or paired with a long sleeve top underneath and some leggings (like these ones!) or tights when Fall officially arrives.
A stylish pair of printed jeans! Great colour! I’d match these with a simple chambray top or a solid coloured tee.
Can I get these polkadot cardigan in MY size? Another great layering piece.
Joe Fresh, For Boys:
This simple striped, long sleeve tee is available in two colour combos. A great basic that’ll go a long way.
I told you I love the plaid! This one’s got a cute checker board pattern with a coloured lining.
A great pair of coloured jeans — comes in this mustard, as well as a red, green, and black.
I’m looking forward to picking out a fun, new back to school wardrobe for my soon-to-be kindergartener! At age 4 1/2, I haven’t yet hit the point where I get her to try on clothes at the store — I tend to just buy one up from her age-size because she’s quite tall. But I imagine there will come a point soon when my guessing at her size won’t cut it any longer!
