Geek Chic Fashion Style for the Fall
Looking to add a little geek chic style to your Fall 2013 wardrobe? Here are a few staples that’ll have you ready for the back to school season — whether you’re headed back or not!
Perfect for transitioning from the summer heat to brisk Autumn afternoons — a definitely must-have for the season. Bonus if you’ve got one in a few colours so you’re always outfit-ready!
Vintage mustard yellow knit via Anna Nostalgia.
Oversize grey cardigan via Pixie Pocket Vintage.
Floral print v-neck via OASAP.
Go for a classic style with a feminine twist, like beading, lace, or a unique collar or cuff design. For colour, I love a crisp white, or a soft ivory.
Punch out collared blouse via Queen’s Wardrobe.
Polkadot blouse via Yestermade.
Try high-waisted — darker colours and office-ready patterns are great. Again, a wonderful transition piece that can first be worn with flats and oxfords, then with booties or knee-highs.
Dogtooth trousers via ASOS.
Gathered waist navy trousers via ASOS.
Black twill trousers via LYST.
A fun way to incorporate vintage frames into your wardrobe: have non-prescription lenses put in so you can wear them no matter how they came to you. If you do need lenses, just have them fit with your particular prescription and you’re good to go.
Horn rimmed glasses via ReVamp.
Italian wire frames via VTG4EVER.
You can’t go wrong with Oxfords, but feel free to spice things up a little with a funky pattern, an unexpected material, or interesting colour. Pop on a pair of super low socks to get the barefoot look sans blisters.
Feline inspired Oxfords via Anthropologie. (So good right??)
Leather Oxfords spotted over at Trendkin.
Anyone else getting REALLY exciting about Autumn? It’s my favourite season!
