Fashion Friday: Mama Style With Mel Of Needle & Nest Design
Today I’m excited to feature another bloggy mama — and hometown friend — Mel! She tells her family tales over at Needle & Nest Design, which you’ve got to take a peek at… especially for her incredible DIYs and sewing projects. She’s such a multi-talented mama! Her gorgeous paintings are up in my shop, my daughter wears her handmade wrist warmers AND her stitched artwork decorates my kitchen at home. Today she’s sharing a fun, cozy outfit with a little crafty, wintry flair thrown in!
Meet Mel! She’s wearing an adorable owl sweater from Old Navy, cable knit tights from H&M, a thrifted lace collar and a thrifted/re-fashioned polka dot dress! And the fabulous part about that… is she even blogged about how she turned this once-frumpy dress into the sweetest thing ever. Pop over here to check it out!
Lots of love for this outfit. I think my favourite cold weather trick is layering a cute, almost summery dress, with lots of knits and vintage goodness!
And if you’re looking for some home-style decor projects, you’ll love the sweet creations in her home. I’m dying to make one of these stunning painted feather mobiles! You can find Mel’s work at Needle & Nest Design, Facebook & Pinterest!
