Fashion Friday: Retro Swimwear Style!

Retro swimwear has been a hot craze over the last few years. In my eyes, it’s all about showing off those curves, ladies!

High waist bottoms? Check! Buxom babe tops? Heck yes! Ruching? Oh how we adore the ruching. And for you less curvy gals? Rock out the Marilyn-esque style by playing with polka dots and cute halter-neck tie-ups!

Adorable! Super cute blue & white gingham. Alice Nightingale did a fabulous job styling this suit!

Probably this one would have to be my favourite. Simple, black & white, lovely! Available via ModCloth.

And every single part of me is loving this pink towel from Unique Vintage. Amazing!

Personally, I’m all for bottoms that feature a little boyfriend cut, or extra booty coverage. I’m not a big fan of the post-dip wiggle where you pretend you’re not attempting to un-wedge a wedgie.

What’s your favourite bathing suit style?

I wish I could wear a retro two piece but my torso is so short that anything with a high waist makes me look completely uneven.

We’re loving the latest nod to the swimsuits that came before modern day bikinis. Vintage is a great way to bring back classic sex appeal with a new wave twist. Rock retro in your own way, for some sizzling summer style.
