Free Printable Morning Chore List for Kids
One thing many parents struggle with is balancing the need to get all the things done on their “to-do” list with the need to teach kids how to manage some of those tasks themselves. Obviously, it is quicker and easier in the short term to put your kids’ laundry away for them than to spend hours nagging them to do it. However, in the long run, teaching our kids these skills really pays off for us AND them.
So, in honor of teaching our kiddos life skills, today’s “no-nonsense tip” I’m sharing is a free printable Morning Chore List.
This list looks so simple, but it is such a lifesaver. I’m no longer spending 15 minutes a day reminding my kid to put on his shoes! I mean, obviously, he knows he has to wear shoes, but having it written down for him helps him see the need to do it. I can go about my own business and trust that he can get ready himself. I find that lists like this really cut down on anxiety, too. With no rushing or yelling, there’s less to be stressed out about in the morning. There’s just a lot less nonsense!
You can download and edit a template for your own morning chore list here.
I’m sharing this little tip today as part of Niagara Water’s No-Nonsense campaign. As you know, I was recently chosen as a “Mrs. No-Nonsense” mom by Niagara Water. Niagara Water is no-nonsense water for no-nonsense people.
Niagara Water wants to know what your no-nonsense tips for getting stuff done are. You can share them on their Facebook page for a chance to win $100, and take a minute to learn what other busy people are doing.
