Girl Talk Over Cookies.
Thank you OREO for sponsoring this post.
I recently read an article about the importance of friendships for adults. Having strong friendships can help you reach goals, lessen grief, and even make you feel better about aging. Of course, for most adults one of the hardest things to do is finding the time to maintain those friendships.
My best friend Jess and I try to remember the importance of having “friend time” by putting events and meet-ups on the calendar. Since she lives in a different state, this can be challenging at times, but we still make a priority. When we do get together, we may work on a craft project, watch a movie, or just simply chat. All over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, of course.
Having this time together is a great way for us to focus on what’s going on in our lives and what we’ve been dreaming about. I like to serve something special when Jess is coming over, too. Something just for us and no one else.
One of my new favorite snacks to serve is Oreo Thins. Because Oreo Thins are well, thin, they’re a no-fuss snack that keep conversation and activity going. I love the crisp and delicate taste.
Personally, I like to have the traditional chocolate flavor with coffee and the lemon flavor with wine, but I could also see pairing the chocolate with a robust beer.
How do you maintain the important relationships in your life?
