How To Be A Barista At Home

There is no denying my love for coffee. I talk about it at least once a day and have for years. I talk about it online OFTEN. Drinking coffee has become part of my morning ritual and my trusty late-night work partner. Yes, I guess you could say that I love coffee.

Though I am an avid coffee drinker, I have never owned a professional machine. I do have your run-of-the-mill coffee maker and a pod machine that will suffice my cravings, but my cups of coffee have never been quite as strong or flavorful as I wanted them to be. Far from what I would buy from a coffee shop, for sure, and I couldn’t really figure out why.

Then I received a De’Longhi Pump Espresso machine to review. My life was forever changed.

What makes it so great? If the photos don’t do it justice, then continue reading.

Great flavor. With 15-bar professional pressure, this machine ensures a strong, flavorful espresso each time. The unit comes with a scoop so that you can perfectly measure each shot and press it down before brewing.

Manual frother. The frother uses steam and milk to create the best rich and creamy froth for mochas, cappuccinos and lattes. I use this frother every single day and it hasn’t failed me yet.

Ready to brew. This machine takes little time to warm up and once it’s ready, you can brew between cups with no waiting.

Brew two shots. The 3 in 1 filter holder accommodates coffee for one or two shots! I LOVE this option. The unit can also hold the espresso pods, but I prefer to use ground coffee (that I grind myself using a burr).

I’m so in love with this machine. I feel like an actual barista each morning when I’m making my coffee! My favorite method is to steam a bit of milk in a coffee mug, froth it up nice and good, then brew espresso over the foam. It’s. The. Best.

I cannot wait for my friends and family to come over so that I can show them what I can create now. They will no doubt be impressed with this home barista friend of theirs!

The De’Longhi Pump Espresso machine retails for $149.99 and worth every penny, in my opinion. Treat yourself or a loved one this holiday with a machine!
