How to Be a Hunger Hero!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc.. The opinions and text are all mine.

The back to school season bring lots of reasons to celebrate with your kids. They’ve headed back to the classroom (hopefully with excitement for a new year!), they’re trying out for sports teams, and they’re bringing home new projects and scoring big on tests. This is also the time of year where we’re starting to reflect on all of the amazing things that happened over the summer — the things they learned and say, the places we visited, and (for me) the amount they’ve grown! (Have your kids grown about 6 inches this summer too??)

With so many reasons to plan something special for your kids, why not throw a Welcome Back to School or Welcome Fall Bash — complete with your favorite party foods from Tyson®, of course!

This weekend, we invite you to plan a little party for your kids to celebrate the new season, and to help start a conversation about how you and your family can become #HungerHeroes.

What’s that, you ask? The Be A Hunger Hero campaign, from Tyson Foods, is all about giving back to those who need it most. This summer, they’ve partnered up with Champions for Kids to help children in need. By bringing home Tyson® Chicken Nuggets and State Fair® Corn Dogs from Sam’s Club for your next family get-together or backyard bash, you’ll be helping to contribute meals to those in need. Tyson Foods will donate one serving of protein to a child in need for each of these products purchased by families just like mine and yours! Not only are the folks at Tyson Foods dedicated to producing delicious food that you and your family LOVE, they are also standing up and making a difference in the lives of others, making sure that everyone has food on the table and happy, full bellies. They’ll be donating one 4 ounce serving of protein to kids in need for every purchase of either State Fair® Corn Dogs or Tyson® Chicken Nuggets during the month of August (up to 240,000 servings).

Join #HungerHeroes all over the country and talk to your kids about what we can do to give back to those who need it. Spread the word to friends and family about how they can help out in the Be A Hunger Hero campaign!
