How to Get Ready for the Best First Day of School
The first day of school is the best day of school.
There’s a lot of excitement from both of my kids, one going into his senior year of high school and one starting fourth grade. The build-up in preparing for the first day of school is sort of like the night before a big holiday or family vacation. The kids totally get into making sure they are ready to rock their first day of school, no matter the school grade.
Mom and Dad, on the other hand, we do what we can to be ready to help make that first day of school the best day of school. Emotionally, it’s a gamble. We never know how we’ll react when they step through the threshold into their classrooms. But we do what we can to keep it together…when they can still see us.
We’re excited to tackle this first day of school (and every day) with a little help from the Best Day List by our friends at Seattle’s Best Coffee. Seattle’s Best Coffee understands that parents need a little help to make their kids’ first day of school the Best Day of School.
The Best Day List is packed with coffee recipes to help get mom and dad ready to take on the day, fun photo booth props (which I just know we’re going to have a blast with), lunch box love notes I’ll be able to place inside at least my fourth grader’s lunch box, and the handiest of all, in my opinion, a printable Best Day Q&A worksheet for my sons to tell me how their first day of school was.
I may or may not have already printed out all of the above from the Seattle’s Best Coffee website here. I highly recommend you do too!
I also really love the idea that my boys can make a positive and grateful gesture to their new teachers with the apple craft instructions on the list. A token of their appreciation for the upcoming school year is something I love to encourage them to do year after year. This craft is not only sweet, but it’s adorable and so, so thoughtful.
Seattle’s Best Coffee®️ is a surprisingly affordable, quality coffee at a cost that’s just a little bit more than regular coffee brands. Upgrade your cup. I promise that you’ll thank me. Not only for the taste, but also for that extra help during the thrilling and possibly stressful process of getting the kids ready to head back to school.
Now…BRING ON THE BEST DAY OF SCHOOL!
