Interview With A Blogger: Adventures In Babywearing, Stephanie Precourt
Hello, hello! Today we’re chatting with the lovely Stephanie Precourt of Adventures In Babywearing! I started reading Steph’s blog way back in 2009, shortly after my daughter arrived on the scene and have been following along ever since! Scroll down and get to know this amazing mother of four!
So, what prompted you to start blogging?
I started blogging after my third son was born. I had just embarked on a whole new way of parenting (attachment) and was starving for all the info I could get, and honestly for anyone who was looking for answers like me. I was feeling really alone in the way I wanted to raise my kids where I lived, and the Internet drew me in. My friend was an expat in Scotland and had started a blog to keep up with family in the states. One day I was reading it and just clicked on the little icon at the top to create my own blog… and Adventures In Babywearing was born!
Tell us about your day job/educational pursuits?
I am thankful that I can do my day job from home- I take the kids to school (and sometimes stop for an iced coffee) and then head back home to work on Listen To Your Mother as the Online Content Manager over our 32 cities for 2014. I also freelance for The Prowl and SheKnows’ Mommalogues.
Where’s the farthest from home you’ve ever travelled? Tell us about your experience.
The farthest from home I’ve ever been is probably Paris, France. Or actually I guess it would be Switzerland for a layover, as a matter of fact! I went on a trip with a group of students when I was in my early twenties, and then got to go back the next year for my honeymoon! We plan to visit Paris as a family sometime in the next couple years, too.
What skill do you hope to master over the next year?
I’d love to get better at photography and finally learn to use my camera, but I say that every year. Maybe I’ll finally learn to drive my husband’s car- a stick shift!!
What’s your current favourite song/band? And what are you reading?
Great question! I like a wide variety of music. M83, Beach House, and Phish make me happy lately! I’m currently reading The Night Guest and recently finished Eleanor & Park (loved it!)
Share three blogs you adore!
I subscribe to many great blogs via feedly and some come to my email inbox, but if I have to pick 3…
(Okay, I picked 4!)
