Interview With A Blogger: Erin Lane, A Parenting Production
Today we’re chatting with Erin Lane from A Parenting Production! Erin is a fabulous, social media loving, Starbucks chai drinking (me too!), mother-of-two who likes to blog all about family and beyond! Take a peek below and get to know a little more about this rad chick!
So, what prompted you to start blogging?
I was pregnant with my first. I attended a marketing meeting and they mentioned blogging in their presentation. I thought “hey, I should do that.”
Tell us about your day job/educational pursuits?
Right know, I’m a stay at home/work at home mama. I do freelance marketing work and also write for the BabyCenter Blog. In my past life, I was Director of Marketing Communications for a juvenile product company, so I try to do most of my consulting in the baby industry if I can.
Where’s the farthest from home you’ve ever traveled? Tell us about your experience.
New Zealand! It was AMAZING! It was a work trip to see how the wool blankets we were about to distribute were made, but we played more than we worked. It’s probably the most beautiful place in the entire world. Every one should go there.
What skill do you hope to master over the next year?
I have a passion for performing. I’m trying really hard to find time to some classes and workshops this year so I can get back into it. At the end of March, I’m taking a voice over workshop that I”m really excited about.
What’s your current favorite song/band? And what are you reading?
Well if the kids aren’t in the car, I’m rocking out to “Talk Dirty to Me” – no judgement! I’m still a huge fan of Mumford so that’s what I put on when I’m just hanging out around the house. Either that or a Brandy Carlile or Feist Pandora station.
Reading? Unfortunately, nothing right now. I’ve had “Where’d You Go, Bernadette” on my Nook for months just waiting for me.
Share three blogs you adore!
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of yourself with us today, Erin! You rock!
