You probably already know that October is Breast Cancer awareness month. Most of us have a friend or loved one whose life has been affected by breast cancer, but it’s still so important to get information out those who haven’t experienced it. That’s why I’m so proud to be part of Lands’ End #PinkThread #BeTheEnd Twitter campaign.

Each day from Monday, October 10th to Friday, October 14th @LandsEndPR will tweet a “share the knowledge fact” from Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Followers are encouraged to RT the message to help communicate the information and for a chance to win a Lands’ End Pink Thread Project gift package. For each selected winner, Lands’ End will also donate $200 to BCRF!

Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $600 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world.

This year, BCRF is investing $57 million in research, to support more than 250 researchers at leading medical institutions in 14 countries. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation’s most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF has been awarded Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars 14 times since 2002.
