Must-Have Coats For Winter
Ok, don’t panic. I’m sorry I’ve said the “w” word (ahem, WINTER) and we’re barely two weeks into October, but you’ll just have to bear with me. I’m all about preparing ahead for the colder months, and since I’m in southern Ontario, they cold weather often hits hard and fast… and then doesn’t want to leave for quite some time.
Wherever you happen to be enjoying winter in the near future, you ought to do it in style. I really do feel there can be a happy medium between “stylish and not warm” and “warm but really, terribly unstylish”.
Cute, cozy, waterproof, weather-friendly, lightweight, and compact. What more could you want! This stylish down-filled coat will keep you super warm and looking great all winter long. (via UNIQLO)
The parka style is really pretty and look great layered up for the season. I love the army green and the faux fur trim. (via Aritzia)
This menswear inspired style is oversized with a button closure and pockets at the hips. I love how transformative this style is. I also enjoy any coat or jacket that can be worn open or closed and STILL look great either way. Some only work one way and that just doesn’t do it for me. (via Free People)
Try this down-filled style for extra warmth this winter. This coat would look great when you’re dressed up and dressed down. Love it. (via Aritzia)
I love the colour of this coat. Usually I would opt for something a little darker, but this has a really beautiful richness to it and the texture matches perfectly. (via J. Crew)
Go bold with a stylish pattern in a simple grey and black theme. I love the feminine lines of this coat, paired with the chunky, geometric patterns. So pretty! (via H&M)
