No-brainer Recipe: Progresso Broth Style!

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

I recently received a sample of Progresso’s New All-Natural Chicken Broth and just had to make a no-brainer recipe to share with you!  I love Progresso soups, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong making a Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup! (easy style, of course)

Progresso’s All-Natural Chicken, Reduced Sodium Chicken and Beef-flavored broths are 99% fat free and contain no preservatives, artificial flavors or MSG (except that which naturally occurs in yeast extract). They also come in convenient re-sealable 32oz cartons, which makes makes life easy.

Now on to the recipe!  Here’s what I did:

I boiled one package of boneless, skinless chicken tenders until fully cooked, then removed and set aside.

Then I added the entire 32oz carton Progresso All-Natural Chicken Broth to a large pot.  You could add more broth or water if you it isn’t “soupy” enough for you.

At this point I just started throwing things in that I had in the fridge-onions, carrots, celery and some spices (to be fancy).  You can make the veggies as chunky or fine as you want.  I also hand-shredded the chicken and threw
it in.

I simmered for about 30 minutes and, let me tell you, the aroma in the house was wonderful!

I boiled some egg noodles in a separate pot and added right before serving.  I did this to avoid mushy noodles in my leftovers. (got to think of the future, you know)

The soup was YUMMY and the leftovers were even yummier.  This was the first time I had cooked with a Progresso Broth and I was truly pleased with the outcome.  The flavor was nice and not too watered down like some broths I’ve tried. As I mentioned earlier, I also really liked the re-sealable container for quick, easy storage.  I recommend Progresso Broth and look forward to trying the other flavors!

Now, what would you make with a sample of Progresso Broth?  Maybe something for the holidays?  What about your own no-brainer recipe?

Because we are in the thick of the holiday season and the holidays are all about sharing and giving, Progresso wants to give four three lucky readers a “Perfect Recipe” gift basket!  Each basket includes a free coupon for Progresso Broth, a recipe card holder, recipe box, wicker basket, as well as a set of serving spoons and a spoon rest!
