On the Red Carpet of Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with Twinings Tea
If you’ve been following me here on Mom Spark for awhile, you probably already know that I’m a bit of a tea lover.
In fact, I recently wrote about the new Twinings Earl Grey flavors that are quickly becoming my new favorites.
Twinings is now offering a variety of Earl Greys including Jasmine, Lavender (especially great for relaxing) and Extra Bold (great for those days when you need a little less relaxing and a little more pizazz).
In addition to these new Earl Grey flavors, Twinings has also partnered with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (in theaters on March 17th) as the official tea of the movie, including special packaging with the characters from the film on the boxes.
And, as if it couldn’t get any better, Twinings invited me “as their guest” (hee hee) at the Beauty and the Beast red carpet premiere in Hollywood on March 2nd. How could I possibly say no?
Prepping for the Red Carpet Event
With Twinings tea in hand, my business partner (and full-time best friend), Jessi, gave my hair a bit of sprucing up with “beachy waves” for the big premiere in my hotel room. In fact, we recorded the process on Facebook Live so that you can enjoy this easy tutorial at home or on your next walk down the red carpet.
Once my hair makeover was in place, I popped on my heels, as well as some jewelry, and headed to the El Capitan for the big premiere!
The Red Carpet Event
I arrived at the “royal” red carpet before the hustle and bustle of media, guests and celebrities, so I had a chance to took a peek at the beautiful set-up.
Naturally, I had to stop by the Twinings tea cart. Wasn’t it the cutest?
The red carpet event quickly filled up with eager guests, so after my quick tour I took my place in the press area and waited for celebrity sightings.
I recorded my press point-of-view experience on Facebook Live, which included several celebrities, including the cast of Beauty and the Beast!
Check them out below.
The Beauty and the Beast Movie
Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.
The film was BEAUTIFULLY made. If you’re a fan of the original animated version, you’ll appreciate this live-action take even more.
The story has been modernized in all of the right ways and the cast is perfection. All of the songs that you know and love are included, as well as a few new ones that you’ll quickly become attached to, too.
That is all I want to share (sorry, no spoilers!) about the film because I don’t want to ruin any special moments until you see it on March 17th.
In the meantime, I hope you will give the new Twinings Earl Grey teas a try, as well as check out the fun Beauty and the Beast packaging!
