One-Bowl Southwest Chicken Salad Recipe
Now that March is here, the weather is FINALLY starting to warm up! It’s amazing how such a simple change, like the weather, can affect one’s mood. I have more energy, feel more adventurous and am inspired to make fresh recipes.
I recently partnered with Tyson and Wishbone to make a stellar one-bowl recipe, and I will admit that Spring was on my mind as I thought about what to make. So, I stopped by my local Walmart yesterday to get all of the ingredients I would need to make the perfect one-bowl dish.
I knew that I wanted to make a salad with the Tyson Chicken and Wishbone Italian Dressing, but when I saw the Southwestern Chicken Breast Strips flavor I knew what exactly what to make.
Yup, Southwest Chicken Salad. A light and fresh one-bowl salad that is so incredibly flavorful and bright.
Here is how to make it!
One-Bowl Southwest Chicken Salad
Yield: I large bowl
- Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Strips
- Wishbone Italian Dressing
- black beans, drained
- corn (fresh or can, drained)
- romaine lettuce
- red bell pepper, chopped
- tortilla strips
- lime, cut into fours
- Cook the chicken strips according to the package directions. After cooking, chop chicken into cubes, then add start building the salad, starting with the lettuce on bottom.
If you’re a cilantro fan, that would also make a great addition to top this salad with. I kept lime wedges nearby to squirt on the salad as I ate it, too.
The best thing about this recipe is that it’s so easy to put together. The Tyson Chicken is easy to heat up in a skillet and the rest of the ingredients just take a little chopping and assembling.
