Outfit Inspiration: Get The Kids To School On Time!

I’m currently counting down the minutes days until my daughter head back to school on Tuesday morning. She is SO excited to see her friends again, to be back doing all of her activities and work, and of course to show off the new outfits she’s picked out during out back to school shopping trips. Since she’ll be dressing her best (in whatever outfit she puts together on that first morning back) I figure I should at least try to look presentable, eh? However, we all know that not EVERY morning will go smoothly, and not EVERY morning will I be even out of my jammies by the time it’s we gotta go! o’clock.

For those speedy, rushed, whoops we’re totally late mornings, I like to have a back-up outfit in mind. It’s got to be simple, low maintenance, and able to transition from season to season. My go-to “get the kids to school on time” outfit? Here’s what we’re looking at, folks!

Whimsical Wingspan Necklace | Golden State Of Mind Tee | Old Navy Tami | 1969 Sexy Boyfriend Jeans | Travel Enthusiast Boots

Denim, a tank, a v-neck tee, cute boots (or my Birks, depending on the weather), and whatever jewelry happens to be close by! Toss the hair in a “messy on purpose” kinda bun, throw the coffee into a portable mug, and BAM — out the door! This outfit transitions really well from summer to autumn, and even through winter and spring. Just add in a cute cardigan or pullover sweater (like this one) and toss on your weather-appropriate jacket.

Wishing you all a speedy, hardly-any-late-days, sort of school year!
