I’m sure you have seen the television commercials featuring Salma Hayek on the partnership between Pampers and Unicef. I feel very passionate about this cause, especially since it is so easy to participate. (just buy Pampers diapers!) Please read this article to learn more and look for the great giveaway that is included!
What is the Pampers “One Pack=One Vaccine Campaign”?
- In the 2008 North America campaign, Pampers provided funding to UNICEF for over 50 million tetanus vaccines to help protect moms and their newborn babies against tetanus.
- In the 2009 campaign in North America, Pampers aims to raise funds to help provide an additional 30 million vaccines.
- Thanks to Pampers’ funding, the total global donations have helped UNICEF provide more than 100 million vaccines through August 31, 2008, and the North American goal was far exceeded.
- The global campaign goal is to provide funding for more than 200 million life-saving tetanus vaccines over the next three years.

There’s no reason that this cause shouldn’t be important to anyone. I’ve been to Pampers website and love their stand on this issue. We are proud pampers wearers at our house. I thought about going cheaper with a different brand but my heart cries out for the little ones who might die because they don’t get a simple vaccine. Thanks for blogging about such an important cause!

We were Pampers addicts before this campaign, but now with two babies – I’ve been tempted to cross over to the dark side (cheaper diapers! gasp) But this campaign settles my mind about paying more for a company who gives back.
Now if we could just use diapers as a tax write off … can we petition Washington for that one?

The symptoms of the disease sound so scary and tetanus shots are something we take for granted in the United States. What a great campaign

This is dear to me not just because Im a mother, but because I’m a human. A woman.
In my country, there are many families having this very same worry of not being able to have their children vaccinated against all these ills that can well be prevented, but for the simple fact that they can’t afford it. It’s painful.
I love pampers and the fact that htey are doing this encourages me to buy their products even more. I love when companies show care and really help.
