Secret of the Wings Review

During my visit in August to Los Angeles for the #DisneyInHomeBloggers event, I had the opportunity to preview the new Disney Fairy installment, “Secret of the Wings”.

The Walt Disney Studios unveils an all-new, original full-length CG-animated feature film, “Secret ofthe Wings,” starring Tinker Bell, one of Disney’s most beloved and iconic characters, along with her fairy friends (Fawn, Iridessa, Rosetta, Silvermist and Vidia) and introducing a sparkling new winter fairy, Periwinkle.

For Tinker Bell and the other warm season fairies, the Winter Woods remains a mysterious and forbidden place.  “Secret of the Wings” takes audiences on an amazing journey of discovery with Tink, into this forbidden world where she discovers a magical secret that changes her life forever.

Since I have boys at home, this was my first time viewing a Disney Fairy movie. Although I am sure that more girls enjoy these movies than boys, I have to say that my little guy would enjoy these movies as well. “Secret of the Wings” had a ton of hilarious humor, the graphics were stunning and the story was captivating. Any youngster would agree!

In “Secret of the Wings”, Tinker Bell learns she has a twin sister, Periwinkle, that lives in the Winter Woods.  The story follows Tinker Bell as she tries to connect with Periwinkle, even though it is forbidden for her to cross into the Winter Woods.

I found myself laughing quite a bit throughout the movie, and was in awe of the beautiful graphics, especially in the wing animation. I also loved and appreciated the contrast between the cold and warm worlds, which were believable and elaborate.

“Secret of the Wings” is full of heart, adventure and action, so make sure you pick up a Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack/DVD/Digital copy in stores today! Also see how you can win a prize package that includes a copy below!
