Star Wars School Lunchbox Ideas
Like most mothers, I care about both the environment and saving money. One thing that’s always bothered me about making my kids’ school lunches is the potential for waste! Disposable plastic bags for lunch items can be wasteful if they are only used once. Also, if no one eats the sandwich you made, it’s a waste of time, money, and food!
This is why I love these new Glad Disney Multipacks from at Walmart. Shopping at Walmart has always been a great way to save money and these multipacks are reusable and fun, meaning there’s less waste! These cute containers come in themes that include Disney’s Frozen and a Star Wars, so there’s something for everyone. These 14-piece multipacks are only available at Walmart or Walmart.com.
For one of my guy’s first back to school lunches I plan to surprise him with a Star Wars-themed lunch!
Using Star Wars cookie cutters, I created bite-size peanut butter jelly sandwiches. My idea is to take a typical sandwich and make it a little more fun by cutting it in the shapes and storing a few of them in the middle size container.
I also happened to have some Star Wars cupcake liners on hand, which sure, could be perfect for cupcakes, but they can also be used in the smaller, round container to hold carrot “lightsabers.”
I could also add hummus in a liner on the bottom, then put another liner on top with veggies for dipping, or for fruit and pretzels.
The larger containers could easily be used for a slice of pizza (yes, cold pizza for lunch, it’s not just a college thing) or quesadillas. Frozen fans could even cut quesadillas into snowflake shapes!
I can’t say that every day will be a “themed” lunch for my guy, but I feel like starting the year off with a little excitement for him. I hope it will also keep him interested in home-packed lunches. These containers will make lunch appealing no matter what I serve!
Here’s to back to school season!
