“Stuffpuppies” (a take on hushpuppies) made with Stovetop Stuffing and drizzled with cranberry sauce. Thanksgiving in a bite!
As you know, I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. When it comes to stuffing for the holidays, though? I don’t mess around.
For Thanksgiving, I always go classic with Stove Top Stuffing.
That’s because Stove Top Stuffing is stress-free, each box contains everything you need, like vegetables, seasonings, herbs, spices, and breadcrumbs that are packed with flavor. This mix can also be prepared on the stove, in a pot, or even in the microwave. My vegetarian friends LOVE that they can still have stuffing at my house because it isn’t made in the bird.
Basically, if it isn’t Stove Top, it isn’t Thanksgiving. My loyalty to Stove Top Stuffing doesn’t mean that I can’t get creative though!
My idea? “Stuffpuppies” (a take on hushpuppies). If you haven’t spent a lot of time in the South you might not be familiar with hushpuppies. But believe me, you’ll want to spend some time getting to know them, and my stuffpuppies are just the way to do it!
Stove Top Stuffing balls dipped into one of two delicious sauces – a sweet cranberry and savory brown gravy. So. Yummy!
