I ran across the beautiful pictures at Milk & Honey and decided this would be the perfect way to use up the strawberries I had left over from making freezer jam. May I just say that I hate my stupid oven. It can run anywhere from 100 to 200 degrees hotter than it should, then when I made this cake, I pulled it out after an hour in the oven and it was a lukewarm batter. Bah! This is why I don’t bake very often,…

Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars are great for when you aren’t in the mood to make pie crust from scratch. Chewy and chocolaty. It is hard to go wrong when you are dealing with pecans and chocolate. Most of the ingredients in this recipe are ones that we have on hand at all times, so it is great for a spur of the moment sweet treat.

Something about these Blueberry Crumb Bars struck me as old fashioned. Simple, yet delicious. I kept mine in the fridge to cool before cutting into squares. I went nuts over these cookies. They are a perfect balance of soft peanut butter cookie, a dab of jam and an amazing but simple peanut butter frosting. They are YUM-O and I don’t care who knows it.
