Tegu Mahogany Explorer Blocks Review
A couple years ago, I reviewed Tegu blocks for the first time and immediately fell in love with the brand and product. If you are not familiar with Tegu, here is a bit of their back story:
It all started with an innocent, curiosity-driven question: “What about a for-profit company based in Honduras that would create a positive social impact through its business?” Chris posed that question during a work trip to Honduras in May 2006 where he reconnected in Tegucigalpa with friends dedicated to an impactful humanitarian project; seeking an answer to the question sparked the idea that became Tegu—a creative business founded to address unemployment, under-utilized natural and human resources and the need for entrepreneurship in Honduras…
Tegu blocks have magnets embedded inside of the wood so that each block can stick to one another. As you can guess, a child’s imagination is limitless with Tegu!
For this particular review, I received the Explorer Set that included 40 mahogany blocks in seven shapes:
- 4 Large Columns
- 8 Mega Planks
- 8 Long Planks
- 4 Medium Columns
- 4 Small Trapezoids
- 4 Large Trapezoids
- 8 Short Planks
The set come packaged in a beautifully designed box large and rigid enough to store the blocks for many years to come. The quality of the mahogany blocks were top notch and, once again, my kids had a blast playing creating, errr, bears and field goals?
Have you tried out Tegu’s blocks yet?
