The Benefits Of Staying At An Embassy Suites
Last month, I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Embassy Suites located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
LOCATION
Smack dab in the middle of the action, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown is housed in a beautiful historic building located within steps of the Fourth St. Live! entertainment district.
Restaurants, museums, and live music can be found at Fourth St. Live! which is easily walkable from the hotel, taking the hassle out of finding a taxi for a fun day or night out. Of course, taxis and Uber vehicles are available for ventures to off-location venues (like Churchill Downs) as well.
TIP: There is a Starbucks right across the street at the Hilton!
MODERN DESIGN
I have a confession to make – MANY YEARS AGO, my husband and I spent our honeymoon at an Embassy Suites in Tulsa, Oklahoma and it looked NOTHING like the grand hotel I spent a weekend in last month!
Instead, I witnessed fresh, modern designs throughout the lobby, hallways, and suites.
PREMIUM SUITES
Speaking of suites, let’s talk about ’em.
Up on the seventh level of the hotel is the “Premium Suite” section, which I was lucky to take advantage of during my stay.
Walking into this bright, sleek hotel suite was welcoming and exciting!

Check out this coffee bar of a java lover’s dreams! This was one of my favorite suite perks, for sure. The bar also included a sink, mini-fridge (not stocked), microwave, and storage space.
I may or may not have had a few cups of coffee with my bourbon balls that the hotel so graciously delivered to my room. Okay, I ate all of them. 🙂
My suite also included a balcony that opened up to one of the many hotel atriums. A relaxing escape!
Another bonus to staying on the premium suite level is access to complimentary snacks and drinks. Simply punch in your personal access code (that you receive after check-in) into the machines and take what you like!
HOTEL PERKS
Yes, the location is awesome, the design is fresh and the suites are posh, but what about the hotel amenities? Hold on for a long list of them!
First of all, there are the amenities you would expect from a hotel – a gym, pool (located underground), business center and common areas (lobby and atriums)…
but there is more, much more – like an arcade for the kiddos…

and even open cocktail hour with FREE drinks! Yes, FREE.
Also, a FREE breakfast buffet. We’re not talking stale pastries and cold coffee, either, but instead made-to-order omelets, warm bacon, HOT coffee, and much, much more.
OVERALL THOUGHTS
Put simply – an Embassy Suites offers more to guests than a traditional hotel. With spacious multi-room suites, complimentary cocktails, and breakfast…they all add up to one special experience. Perfect for families, individuals, or business professionals, this unique hotel can accommodate anyone comfortably.
