Turn Your Kid’s Bathroom Silly with Tom’s of Maine
Getting the kiddos to adopt healthy brushing habits can sometimes be the biggest challenge of the bedtime routine. Thankfully, Tom’s of Maine Silly Strawberry Natural Toothpaste helps to play a big role in keeping that struggle to a minimum. I use the #1 natural kids toothpaste as the centerpiece to creating a party spot at the bathroom sink. And what better reason to throw a party than the 25th anniversary of Silly Strawberry?
Using bright green streamers, red balloons that look like silly strawberries, and, of course, a party hat, brushing teeth has been a breeze. The best part about making my son’s bathroom sink a party spot was having him be a part of the crafts that bring it to life. I think his favorite part may be blowing up the balloons and then letting them go so they fly around the room, if we’re being real about it.
Even still, it transforms the bathroom sink and the often dreadful task of brushing his teeth, into a fun adventure.
And what party is complete without music? Tom’s of Maine teamed up with acclaimed children’s musician, Laurie Berkner, to produce the “Silly Brushing Song” to help encourage kids to brush their teeth for a full two minutes. I dare you not to catch yourself singing along to this in the school pickup line. Spoiler: IMPOSSIBLE!
Did you know that 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of Tom’s of Maine Silly Strawberry Toothpaste – the #1 natural kids toothpaste?! Pam, working in product development with co-founder Kate Chappell, took it upon themselves to develop a natural toothpaste for kids. The first order of business was to figure out the flavor since, as most parents can attest, mint flavored anything is “too spicy” to kids. Cycling through a lot of natural fruit flavors, they finally landed on strawberry and Silly Strawberry was born. Check out the throwback photo below!
Tom’s of Maine Silly Strawberry is made for kids ages 2-6 with natural, great-tasting ingredients including real strawberry juice and other natural flavors and uses no artificial flavors, dyes or sweeteners. It is the first and only natural kid’s toothpaste to receive the American Dental Association’s Seal of Acceptance. It is available in both fluoride and fluoride-free options. Tom’s of Maine also prides itself on no animal testing in the development of all of its products.
