Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of visiting Walt Disney World for the Disney Social Media Moms conference. During a break from the event, I took advantage of the time sans kids and enjoyed a lunch with my friend Haley (who was also celebrating her birthday!) at Les Chefs de France in the French section of the World Showcase in Epcot. If you are unfamiliar, Chefs de France is a recreation of a Parisian brasserie and serves both lunch and dinner.

Walt Disney World: A Girl's Lunch at Chefs de France in Epcot

This was my first time experiencing Chefs de France and French food in general, so I didn’t know what to expect or if I would even enjoy French food. One walk into this authentic French restaurant and I instantly fell in love with its charm and the scents of bread, coffee, and cheese.

I wanted to try a bit of everything, so I ordered the Prix Fixe 3 Courses Menu for lunch, which was $23.99 and included a choice of soup, entree, and dessert. I couldn’t stop there, though. Since we WERE in France, we had to also order the cheese plate, or “Assiette de fromages de France”, and a cocktail or two. Below is a recap of our delicious lunch.

Soupe a l’ oignon gratinee – Onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese.

Croque monsieur et sa salade verte – classic French toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a green salad.

Seriously, TO DIE FOR. Every dish. My favorites are the French onion soup and creme brulee. I will gladly eat French food every day if it tastes like this!

Chefs de France is now on my top 5 Walt Disney World favorite restaurants. I hope to enjoy dinner on my next visit.

Have you ever eaten at Chefs de France?

DISCLOSURE – I received park tickets, meals, and a reduced room rate with the purchase of a Disney Social Media Moms conference ticket, however, this meal was paid for by me. I also received various Walt Disney World swag and entertainment while at the conference. Thoughts are my own.
