I was laying on the carpet just now thinking about where blogging has taken me this year. It is quite amazing, really. For the first time in my life, I traveled to Los Angeles, Chicago, and Asheville. Who knows when I would have gotten around to visiting these wonderful cities before. Blogging also introduced me to a slew of wonderful ladies that I can now call “friends”. Crazy cool.
Blogging has given me a voice. A true voice. People listen, although I’m not sure why yet. It’s a blessing and I am immensely thankful. I don’t feel alone anymore as a SAHM, and that means a lot. It rocks.
What will 2010 bring? I haven’t a clue, but I have a feeling it will be a wild, crazy ride. I’m ready for it. I feel like the path is already paved for me and I’m just strolling along. It feels right and easy. I am a blogger. Never knew I would end up here or Mom Made That. Again, crazy.
I propose a toast to blogging. **raises glass** I hope it has served you well and here’s to 2010. **clink**
Where has blogging taken YOU in 2009?

You are one of my favorite friends I have met through blogging! In that perspective blogging has been a great year!

Oh, Niri, I totally agree! Can you believe we didn’t know each other before July? Crazy!

Saw this post on twitter…Like you, I feel that I have really begun to use my voice in new and different, stronger ways this year through my blog.
My blogging hasn’t taken my anywhere other than in front of a variety of computers, but hey, who knows what the future holds, right?
Thanks for sharing all you do.

Well for me it’s about where it’s kept me from going, and that’s crazy!
I started out the first half of 2009 pregnant, and I was pretty sick during most of it. After the baby was born it was just the usual tiredness and “baby blues” that come along with having a newborn. Blogging really was kind an an escape from all that. And on the days I didn’t feel like writing myself, reading blogs and participating in the community always lifted my spirits.
Blogging also brought me here to Mom Spark this year. It’s been a lot of fun being a contributor. I’ve really enjoyed it Amy, and appreciate the opportunity.
We’ve never met, but your wonderful spirit really comes through in your posts, and on the forum. I’m happy for you, and wish you all the best in 2010!

Hi Amy, we haven’t met yet, but I look forward to it sometime soon. Blogging for me has opened up a whole new world of support and friendship that I didn’t even know I was missing in my life. From just hearing the voices of reason out there, to sharing the insanity of life with others and not feeling crazy, I love the surprise rewards. It so nice to get confirmation that someone is listening and to find out that in some small way my voice helped someone too. It feels good to be in this space.

This is my third time trying to comment on this post. I swear every time I pull up the MomSpark home page my boys are in need of a snack, diaper change or a playmate…
)Congrats on a successful year Amy. I am proud to be a contributor to such a quality site.
That said (and why it needed to be said is beyond me at this point
For me blogging this year hasn’t brought me any income (although I think google adsense owns me $3.24 – so I guess that has to count for something!) It has however introduced me to the mom blogging community. I love the women and the handful of men I have “met” through the internet. My blog has also brought me back from the edge of insanity. Being a SAHM is tough when you don’t have an outlet or a group to be a part of. Blogging gives me that and so much more.
Congrats again on a great year Amy. I hope 2010 is even better for you!

What a fabulous blogging year you’ve had. Blogging hasn’t taken me anywhere, but here’s to 2010 and new opportunities.

You are inspiring and I hope blogging opens some doors up for me this year. It will just make it all worthwhile.

Blogging has allowed me to meet some great women, go to some wonderful events and try some new things in 2009. I am very excited what 2010 is bringing! I get to be on a limited edition Cheerios box in the Northeast this month with other bloggers and I am going to be a part of the Martha Stewart Show’s blogging event in two weeks.
Here’s to hoping that maybe in 2010 our path’s will cross in RL!

Blogging has taken me to Disney as a Mom of Color in 2009. I never would have imagined that! Blogging has shown me that some people do actually want and value my opinion. That’s a good thing since Im always sharing my opinion anyway. LOL
