Winnie the Pooh on Blu-ray and DVD October 25, 2011

On October 25th, Disney releases WINNIE THE POOH on Blu-ray, DVD & Movie Download! Journey back to the 100 Acre Wood for a heart-warming adventure with Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore and Christopher Robin! Bonus material includes the EXCLUSIVE short “Mini-Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: The Balloon,” deleted scenes and more!

Can I tell you how much I LOVE this movie?  We took the whole family (even the 3 year-old) to the theater the very first weekend Winnie the Pooh was released.  Let me add that my 3 year-old does not sit and watch any movie the entire way through, so we were quite prepared to get up a few times during the movie. To my surprise, he sat on my lap and watched the ENTIRE MOVIE.  Yes, folks, THE ENTIRE MOVIE.

Inspired by the beloved stories from A.A. Milne’s books and crafted in Disney’s classic style, “Winnie the Pooh,” is the most critically-acclaimed animated film of 2011.  It is narrated by the voice of John Cleese and features the vocal talents of legendary voice actor Jim Cummings(over 350 voices including Gnomeo & Juliet) and a host of other distinctive actors including Craig Ferguson(TV’s ‘The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson’), Tom Kenny (TV’s ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’), Bud Luckey (Toy Story 3) and musical performances by Zooey Deschanel (indie folk band “She & Him”).

The new Winnie the Pooh movie was very nostalgic for me.  The folks at Disney kept the original charm of Winnie the Pooh and company, which I appreciated.  The story was sweet, innocent and actually quite funny.  The humor element was great for my 11 year-old, who thought he might be too old for the movie.

We also received Winnie the Pooh on Blu-ray the other day and instantly popped it into the Blu-ray player to enjoy it once again.  My 3 year-old has now watched it around 10 times and keeps asking to watch it again!  To him, it is truly the bee’s knees. (sorry, had to make reference to honey somehow)  As you can tell, we’re huge fans.

Have you checked out the new Winnie the Pooh?  I recommend doing so!  You can purchase Winnie the Pooh on Amazon.com.
