A New Way to Start Remembering Breakfast
I also know from my years of being a mother that I often care for the needs of my children above my own. They always come first. Work comes next, then the house and the responsibilities of adulthood. Then finally, me. While I am learning how to balance that load to include me higher on the list, I know it still needs a lot of work and practice. After all, how can I provide the best love and care to my loved ones if I’m not caring for myself, too?
One of those self-care practices I’m putting into place is taking a moment to breathe in the morning before I start my day. In the past, I would find myself waking up and immediately scrambling to get my kids to school and would completely skip breakfast altogether. Yes, I know this is a terrible idea. It certainly never served me well, and once the afternoon hit I was already tired and drained with a whole lot of day left to go. It simply wasn’t a smart habit for taking care of myself, so I knew it was time to create a whole new morning routine.
Cheerios has always been a beloved brand of mine and a go-to for an easy breakfast for this very busy mama. Their newest flavor, Cheerios™ Oat Crunch Oats ‘N Honey, is available at Walmart in-store or online and includes a satisfying crunch with whole grain oats and real honey rolled into one. This new flavor is a hearty and simply delicious breakfast that helps start off my day a little more special than before.
I even add in some reading while I’m eating, or listen to an inspiring podcast or just simply take in the calmness of a quiet house to start the day off slow.
What better way to start off a new year with a new flavor of my favorite cereal with a new routine, right? It’s time to start creating new experiences, moments, and redefining the way we live. Even if that means taking a few minutes to sit down with a delicious cereal to start off your day. Those little changes add up to big ones, and I’m all into committing to those tiny steps that make me a better mom and human.
