For St. Patrick’s Day coming up, I thought, “Why not put a Peppermint Patty into a drink?” So, it happened.
I am a big believer in having a cocktail (or mocktail for the non-drinkers) for every holiday. Because it’s fun and special. And it gives me a good reason to be creative.
So, for St. Patrick’s Day coming up, I thought, “Why not put a Peppermint Patty into a drink?” So, it happened.
With a knife, cut a wedge halfway into each chilled peppermint patty. Set aside. (The chilling will allow the candy to stand firm on the martini rim)
Grate 3-4 Tablespoons of chocolate from a chocolate bar and set aside for garnish.
Add the ice, half and half cream, chocolate cake vodka, peppermint liqueur, Baileys Irish Cream and the Creme de Menthe to a cocktail shaker. Secure the lid tightly.
Shake, shake, shake!
Remove lid and strain into 2 martini glasses.
Place a peppermint patty on the rim of each martini glass.
Add 1 tablespoon of whipped cream in the middle of each cocktail and sprinkle with chocolate shavings. ENJOY!!
