Spice up your holiday table with this zesty Cranberry Habanero Dip, full of sugar, spice, and everything nice.
A sweet and savory dip, wonderful served over cream cheese, or as a standalone highlight to any holiday spread.
Be very, very careful when preparing the habanero for this dish – be sure to deseed the pepper unless you and yours can handle the heat, and take precautions to keep your hands away from the eyes and face!
Several dashes of your favorite habanero hot sauce
1block cream cheese

Instructions
In a skillet over low heat, sauté habanero and sweet bell peppers until just tender, about 5 minutes. Add red wine halfway through cooking to deglaze and reduce.
In a large pot over medium heat, combine cranberries, fresh orange juice, water, sugars, cinnamon, black pepper, sea salt, hot sauce [if desired] and sautéed pepper mixture. Simmer until cranberries begin to pop and liquid reduces by half.
Cool and serve over cream cheese or on its own with crackers or toasted bread.
