Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

A warm, comforting recipe for Chicken & Dumplings made in a Crock-Pot slow cooker. Full of tender chicken, peas, corn, and dumplings!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts skinless, boneless
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • ½ onion diced
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 2 c frozen peas and corn mix thawed
  • 1 ½ c chicken broth
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp thyme dried
  • salt and pepper as desired
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits separated.

Instructions 

  • Place chicken, soup, broth, onions, garlic, poultry seasoning and thyme in the slow cooker bowl.
  • Cook on high for between 4 – 5 hours.
  • An hour before cooking time is complete, remove the chicken breasts and shred them.
  • Return them to the slow cooker bowl and cover.  Take HALF the biscuits and tear each one into four pieces. Add them to the bowl along with the vegetables as well. Cover and let cook for the remaining hour.
  • Bake the remaining biscuits according to the directions on the can.
