July 4th Red, White and Blue Patriotic Fudge Recipe

If you're still deciding on what dessert to make on July 4th, let me recommend this deliciously sweet red, white and blue patriotic fudge!

Ingredients

Instructions 

  • Line a 9 x 9 pan with aluminum foil.  Spray the pan with a nonstick vegetable spray and set aside.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, the blue candy melts, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/8 teaspoon salt.  Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds and stir.  Microwave in additional 15 second increments until the candy melts are completely melted and smooth.
  • Pour into the bottom of the 9 x 9 pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, the white candy melts, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/8 teaspoon salt.  Microwave for 30 seconds and stir.  Microwave in additional 15 second increments until the white candy melts are completely melted and smooth.
  • Pour on top of the chilled blue layer of fudge and chill again for 30 minutes.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, the red candy melts, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/8 teaspoon salt.  Microwave for 30 seconds and stir.  Microwave in additional 15 second increments until completely melted and smooth.
  • Pour the red mixture on top of the cooled white fudge and refrigerate for 4 hours or until completely set.
  • Cut into even squares and ENJOY!!

*Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
