Black-Eyed Peas Hummus Dip Recipe for New Year's Eve

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can of black-eyed peas drained and rinsed
  • 2 garlic cloves peeled
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • optional: red pepper flakes for garnish to taste

Instructions 

  • Put black-eyed peas, green onion, garlic, olive oil, and tahini into blender. Mix until well combined.
  • Add salt, pepper, lemon juice, and vinegar. Blend, adding olive oil until hummus is creamy and to desired texture.
  • Serve with pita bread, pita crackers, or fresh vegetables!
