*Bourbon also works great in this recipe instead of the rum.
2cuppure apple cider
2 to 4ouncesdark or spiced rum
Heat apple cider, cranberry-apple juice, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over low heat; simmer 10 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks; serve in mugs and top with rum, stirring well. Serve immediately.
Testing note: I used the apple cider that is sold in the refrigerated section of the grocery near fresh orange juice.
