Cookies and cream popcorn take a spooky-sweet Halloween turn with this yummy Halloween Oreo Popcorn recipe.
Cookies and cream popcorn take a spooky-sweet Halloween turn with this yummy Halloween Oreo Popcorn recipe which I slightly adapted from the wonderful food blog, Sing For Your Supper. If you can find Halloween-themed Oreos, which have an orange frosting filling, it will add a bit more color. I went with traditional Oreos for my batch, but I doubled the amount that the original recipe called for.
Since this comes together so quickly, it is a perfect last-minute Halloween treat for adults and kids to enjoy. If you are having a Halloween party this year, pick up some themed treat bags and fill them with this tasty popcorn mix. Many thanks to Sing For Your Supper for this recipe!
Halloween Oreo Popcorn Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 bags microwave popcorn popped (I used an popcorn making to make fresh, plain popcorn)
- 10-15 Oreos chopped (I doubled this amount and pulsed it in a food processor)
- 1 bag candy corn
- 1 16- ounce package white chocolate bark or almond bark candy coating
- Halloween sprinkles
- wax paper
Instructions
- Place the popped popcorn in a very large bowl. Melt the white chocolate bark in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each time, until melted. Drizzle over the popcorn mixture and stir to coat each piece of popcorn. Gently stir in the crushed Oreos and candy corn. Stir to coat.
- Pour the mixture over wax paper and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles and allow to cool for at least 15-30 minutes. Break into pieces.
