CrockPot Party Snack Chex Mix Recipe
Did you know you can easily make your favorite savory snack Chex mix in a Crockpot slow cooker? You can!
CrockPot Party Snack Chex Mix
I have a secret addiction – Chex party snack mix (original recipe).
I don’t know if I’m giving away my age here, but when I was a kid Chex snack mix was still something new. Around the holidays, there were ads on TV with a mom making the snack mix and serving it to guests at holiday parties or on game day. For some reason, it just seemed exotic and sophisticated to me. I begged my mom to make it, and she did.
Today, I know that snack mix isn’t quite the sophisticated treat I imagined as a kid, but I still love it (even outside of the holiday season)! It’s a classic recipe, after all!
Did you know that you can make a slow cooker version?
DIY snack mix is also a great way to use up ingredients in your cabinet.
I’ve mentioned before how much I love my CrockPot slow cooker and this new recipe slow cooker method is just one more reason why.
By making it in the slow cooker, the flavors really blend, too. The Crock Pot Chex Mix Recipe is super flexible and can be altered if you want to make yours sweeter or more savory.
Equipment Needed for CrockPot Chex Mix Recipe
I’ve mentioned before that my other favorite snacks to make in the Crock-Pot slow cooker are chocolate fudge or beer and brat pretzel cheese dip. But slow cooker Chex party mix is definitely more portable. I’m not embarrassed to admit that we take our slow cooker party mix everywhere, even to the movies (shhhhhh, don’t tell). I find having a little bag available is a great snack that really cuts down on my desire to buy more expensive, less healthy snacks.

The fact that I saw this right after the 4th of July is such a bummer. More parties ahead, I will try to make this for the next one.
