I wanted to do something for our upcoming holiday family gatherings, resulting in a White Chocolate Cranberry Holiday Chex Party Mix!

The holidays are here, which means one thing: it’s time to make some delicious goodies!

White Chocolate Cranberry Holiday Chex Party Mix Recipe

This year, I wanted to do something different for our upcoming family gatherings that said “holiday.” The result? White Chocolate Cranberry Holiday Chex Party Mix!

I was inspired by a recipe I found on Frugal Freebies and Deals, though I changed it up a bit by using Vanilla Chex Cereal, adding more white chocolate, and stirring in the dried cranberries before the powdered sugar is added.

I love the colors of this mix – red and white – it immediately says, “Happy Holidays!” It is also so sweet and delicious.

The best part of this recipe? It can be made in about 15 minutes using the microwave. That’s right, no stovetop cooking with this one!

I hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of Chex Vanilla Cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Pour Chex Vanilla Cereal into a large bowl.
  • Microwave white chocolate chips for 30 seconds, stir, then repeat another 30 seconds until fully melted. (repeat again if necessary, but be aware that white chocolate burns very, very easily)
  • Pour melted white chocolate into the bowl of cereal. Gently mix the white chocolate with the cereal, being careful not to break the cereal. (I used a flat wooden spoon)
  • Add cranberries to the mixture, then mix carefully.
  • Add mixture into a gallon plastic bag, then add powdered sugar.
  • Seal bag, then shake until the powdered sugar is evenly distributed.
  • Pour mix onto a sheet of wax paper to fully cool. Store in an airtight container.
