Instagram Photo a Day Challenge Explained – #JANphotoaday

I have been asked several times about the “photo a day challenge” I have been participating in on Instagram, so I wanted to share more information in a post.  The challenge was created by Fat Mum Slim and the rules are simple – take one photo a day on Instagram, using the themes above for each day. Each month will have a new set of themes.

Don’t fret if you start late, I did at day 5.  Make sure you include #JANphotoaday in your tweets.  Here are my photos for January, so far:

I saw this appearing on my Instagram news feed on the 1st of Jan and was SOOOO tempted to start, but I had already promised myself I’d use instagram to do the 366 challenge and let’s face it I can barely stay committed to one thing let alone two :). I am really loving seeing everyone’s daily shots though.

@Tonya Staab, I don’t blame you one bit. I have also been using the “my 365 app” that records one photo a day. I hope I can stick to it!

@Katie, You could catch up or just start today! No rules! I didn’t make up the rest of the month, just started on the 5th. :)

I wish I had known about this challenge a little sooner. I would have loved to participate from day 1. :P Love pic #10. Reminds me of my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. :)

@Leslie @ Motherhood in Mexico, You can still start! There are no rules, just jump in when you’re ready. January is still the beginning of the year, right? :)
