Blackberry Lime Cocktail Recipe
Many of us could use a great cocktail to relax with, so I created a recipe using delicious ripe blackberries with a touch of lime.
Ingredients
- 8-10 blackberries, reserve 2-3 for garnish
- 1 can lemon lime soda, you can substitute club soda if you like
- 1-2 slices of lime
- pinch of lime zest + juice from one squeeze of a lime, don't use ALL of the juice from a lime. Just one squeeze
- 1 shot, 1.5 fl. ounce blackberry vodka (or other blackberry liquor)
- optional: ice
- for garnish: cocktail pick
Instructions
- Add the clean blackberries to the bottom of the cocktail glass. (Remember to reserve a few for garnish)
- Muddle the blackberries to break them up a bit. Pour a chilled can of lemon lime soda over the blackberries. Add the vodka and ice and gently stir.
- Zest a small portion of the lime. Cut a few thin slices of lime. Add one to the side of the glass for garnish. Add a pinch of zest to the drink, along with one squeeze of remaining lime half. Use a cocktail pick to skewer the reserved blackberries and set on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
